February 2012, Focus Media Network appointed as International Media Sales Partner of YouKu Inc. Focus Media Network was initially appointed as YouKu’s media sales partner in Hong Kong and Macau in December 2011. As a result of a successful start of the partnership, both parties decided to expand the geographical coverage of the partnership to other overseas regions outside of Mainland China.

Youku (listed on the New York Stock Exchange, stock code NYSE:YOKU), is China’s largest Internet television network and currently had 45 million daily unique visitors and 270 million daily video views. It ranks 5th in terms of daily average user coverage amongst China’s satellite TV channels, ranks 16th of the top 1,000 websites globally and ranks 4th of the top Chinese websites. For marketers outside of China eager to capture the mainland China’s tourist market, Youku is a highly effective and cost efficient platform for marketers outside of China eager to capture the mainland China’s tourist market.
